6 p.m. BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE OPENING RECEPTION... Buffalo Bill Historical Center John Bunker Sands Photography Gallery. Join us for a reception to unveil the 28th annual Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale, featuring more than 100 of the nation’s leading western painters and sculptors. The show remains open through September 25.
6 p.m. NEW THIS YEAR--A MINIATURE ART AUCTION at the 2009 opening reception. Announcing a new event planned especially for the community. There will be a live miniature auction of both sculpture and paintings by our well known western artists who participate in the September live auction. Free to the public.

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. CODY HIGH STYLE WORKSHOP.. Molesworth style keyhole chair. Norseman Designs West, 3532 Cottonwood Avenue. Learn woodworking techniques from present day Masters! John Gallis of Norseman Designs West will give a two-day workshop of hands-on instruction on how to build your own Molesworth style keyhole chair; all materials (including your final handmade chair) and lunch included. All levels of experience welcome. Reservations required.

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. CODY HIGH STYLE WORKSHOP.. Traditional Beading Techniques. Covert Workshops, 2007 Public Street. Presented by Lynda Covert of Covert Workshops and LoRheda Fry; participants will learn how to create a small beaded leather shoulder bag using Native American beading techniques. All materials (including your final handmade piece) and lunch included. All levels of experience welcome. Reservations required.

5:30 p.m. CODY HIGH STYLE FASHION SHOW #1 - Buffalo Bill Historical Center Orientation Gallery. A runway fashion show presenting couture collections from both up-andcoming and established fashion designers (two identical shows). Reservations required.
7 p.m. - 12 a.m. A CELEBRATION OF ARTS KICK-OFF PARTY - Buffalo Bill Historical Center Party Tent. Free event open to the public featuring music and dancing to South Gate. Cash bar and savory concessions provided by the Mustang Grill will be available. Free to the public.
7:30 p.m. CODY HIGH STYLE FASHION SHOW #2 - Buffalo Bill Historical Center Orientation Gallery. A runway fashion show presenting couture collections from both up-andcoming and established fashion designers (two identical shows). Reservations required.

9 a.m. - 4 p.m. CODY HIGH STYLE TOUR.. In Shell, Wyoming. population fifty. We will visit two full log buildings, the Hideout Lodge and Guest Ranch, the historic Trapper Creek Lodge built by the Wyeth family in 1926, and The Old Shell Lodge, 1896, built out of local sandstone and currently under restoration. We will tour these three buildings and have lunch at The Trapper Creek Supper Club. Reservations required.
10 a.m. CODY HIGH STYLE SEMINAR.. Innovative Trends in Rustic Design and Architecture Buffalo Bill Historical Center Coe Auditorium. Author, Ralph Kylloe, Ph.D. During the past few years many people have drifted away from decorating their rustic homes exclusively with rustic furniture. Homes today seem to include a dramatic mixture of traditional designer

1 - 3 p.m. CODY HIGH STYLE DEMONSTRATION..Buffalo Bill Historical Center - Braun Cashman Sculpture Garden. Watch a hands-on carving demonstration from award winning artist, Al Hone, as he creates fine art sculpture using wood as his main medium. Free to the public.
2 p.m. CODY HIGH STYLE SEMINAR..How Did the Humble Cowboy Become A Fashion Icon? Buffalo Bill Historical Center Coe Auditorium. In 2006, fashion designers, Pate Stetson and Anne Beard, proposed the creation of a Costume Institute of the American West to the BBHC trustees and directors. Featuring excerpts from that presentation, this seminar will discuss the historical evolution of western costume and the influence that resultant style has on contemporary fashion. An overview of the costume institute’s objectives and prospects will conclude the seminar. Free to the public.

Take a trolley tour of the studios of participating Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale artists Steve Schrepferman, Linda S. Raynolds, M.C. Poulsen, Vic Payne, J. Burnham Rudolph, and Caleco Foundry. 10 a.m. CODY HIGH STYLE SEMINAR - Marketing Without a Budget - Really! Buffalo Bill Historical Center Coe Auditorium. Thea Marx has created an artists guide to getting noticed without breaking the bank. You will learn how to work social media to your advantage, negotiate for print and on-line advertising and little tidbits that make a big difference. That includes how to make your website more potent and market yourself with every email you send. Free to the public.

6:30 p.m. 28th ANNUAL BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE AUCTION.. Buffalo Bill Historical Center - Party Tent. Join in the fun with spirited bidding of fine western art orchestrated by the rapid-fire delivery of auctioneers Troy Black and Associates. The buffet begins at 5 p.m. and continues throughout the evening. Reservations required.

9 a.m. BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE QUICK DRAW.. Buffalo Bill Historical Center - Party Tent. Champagne brunch and silent auction. Stroll through the Robbie Powwow Garden to observe over thirty painters, potters, and sculptors at work, completing a piece in one hour. Quick Draw pieces are then sold at live auction. Reservations required.

1 p.m. CODY HIGH STYLE ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION - Progression of Design and People’s Choice winner announcement. Buffalo Bill Historical Center Coe Auditorium. An informal atmosphere to promote western design traditions and the sharing of ideas; Cody High Style brings together some of today’s finest craftsmen and women in round table discussion groups. 2009 Switchback Ranch Purchase Award winner, Scott Armstrong, will discuss the progression of his award winning - Rockabilly - piece. Free to the public.
6:30 p.m. 33rd ANNUAL BUFFALO BILL HISTORICAL CENTER PATRONS BALL - Buffalo Bill Historical Center. A Night of R and R and Friends, a black-tie gala of fine dining and dancing in the galleries of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Reservations required.
